nice dude, what an accomplishment. so would you do it again?

    The Baja350 - a Dentside Story

it freaks me out, too. But this is the solution Cho offered. The wheelbase is pushed as far forward as possible because I have ~the same clearance to the pitman arm bolt at full lock in the opposite direction. so the only other option would be to bend the tie rod, cut & move the steering box...

    The Baja350 - a Dentside Story

Got a few sessions in on the truck - focused back on the front suspension cycling & all of its interfaces. had a few issues & here's how i dealt with them: Radius arm relative height to beam pivots was wrong. remember, i have a ~91 4x4 frame up front and a 74 frame under the cab Fixed by...

Notching tubing when fabricating - who/what/where/how/pics - all of that

I literally use a ryobi battery hand drill with my holesaw notcher & very rarely have catching problems. wd40 for lube, click that lower gear on the drill & keep the pressure high.

+1 vote for the JDsquared holesaw notcher & angle grinder. Ameribrade would be dope, but that's a very spendy tool. for angle-finding, ain't no way i'm going to be doing calcs - but a long time ago I made a quick tool using 2 metal rulers bolted together with just the perfect amount of tension...

    2015 GMC Sierra build

hell yeah. I'm a huge supporter of factory dashes - that looks super good with how it fits the cage!

    Project G4 AKA Quasi-Ghetto

nice, dude. That color is pretty sweet & i think even with a few runs & icicles you're still well above par for off road rigs. What're the deets on that blow-up? definitely looks like a bounce house at first glance. she a rental?

    The Baja350 - a Dentside Story

Starting to throw tubes again! Added a little X to the center section of my cab cage. Moving to re-investigate the suspension & steering system next - i think i have to relocate my radius arms & it's going to heckin' wreck the a-pillar kick. Also helped a friend hang his rancher bumper on a...

fusion360 for my quickie projects (also free for non-monetized use) My preference would be Siemens NX but it's not free.

    Garage Tools

And thank you very much for selling it to me, buddy :) But +1 to what Bodj suggested, if the thing I want cut is some nebulous shape I'll use CAD (Cardboard aided design), then scan it, then use fusion360 to draw on it & create the g-code for the crossfire then bam. the process isn't toooo much...

    The Baja350 - a Dentside Story

it was the smallest legally defined 2 car garage possible (20x22) with a ~5-6 ft sloped driveway right in front of it. definitely made it work & was happy to have it for the ~9 years I lived there. But a real shop with a lift has been on my brain for long time & this weekend i put my old truck...

    The Baja350 - a Dentside Story

for the hell of it, since it's my thread.... i went down memory lane circa 2018 to find a picture of my old bumpside in the Torrance garage where I finished that thing. The pallet rack behind the truck in this picture is the same one as the rack behind the red truck in the previous image. to...

    The Baja350 - a Dentside Story

passed final inspection! Started moving stuff in & getting a feel for layout. gotta work up some more storage & organization solutions. I have one small pallet rack / shelving thing leftover from when I lived in Torrance and it's laughably small relative to how much space it used up in my old...
