Ditch climb is opened to the top between Bob and myself. Bob also opened up the section that I built the bypass / switch backs around. The ruts I had issue with somewhat have filled in. Bob also started down Ditch DH brush cutting but I don't know how far he got. I will head up today and...
Oh, she eats...
Did a bunch with both the 10" brush cutter Chinese Star thing and with 0.155 line crammed in the head. The 0.155 will not bump feed, but it lasts such a long time through grass and mustard it isn't even funny. I have to pause to let it cool down way more than I have to feed more...
On another note. As we were airing up we filled up Shane's jeep with the Moorflate system we got at the Point Mugu Fright Night Raffle. Shanes Jeep is on 33s and he took it from 12 to 24. I then started filling up my 37s from 18. I got almost to pressure and one of the hoses ejected from the...
Picked up this big boy trimmer brush cutter as my Homelite died.
Great news, it has a big 18" cutting circle and will probably run .155 twine. The bad news, it is to big and heavy to ride in so I still need to hike it in.
Long time no update.
Put in American Off-Road Ball Joints deletes right before the Lonely Pinos 250. Great product, fairly easy install, horrible instructions. Front end is way more solid feeling now. Last balljoints had about 100k on them and should have been changed out long ago.
Truck did...
While looking through the interwebs for info on "why bats?" I came across this blog with lots of great stories and history of the valley. Good read and the comments from people who also lived out there are good as well. Still haven't found an answer on the bat significance...
@the bodj Chelsea and Hank handled the trip like veterans. Always great when a early trip leaves a good impression as to how future trips could go vs the opposite. Luckily for the ladies Lances route had plenty of mostly official bathroom spots. I appreciated not having to hike and dig as well.
@WW_RANGER_X did anyone get video of Wes going "John Henry" on every rock he could find and the CO2 bottle. Little dude was getting after it. Fun kid to be around.
Huck Finn over here dragging rope.
Epic trip
Lost a radiator hose, drivers bedside top needs fixed, fridge won't cool below 30, and the tote for my Blackstone went into multiple pieces. But we had lots of rad miles, 1000 smiles, and more than enough laughs.
I want to thank #howlcampfires and...
I might be going Randy's method of breakfast burrito's and buy the frozen bowls to cook on the griddle and wrap the contents. But that will probably go out the window when I hit Stater Bros...
We can sandwich 2wds between 4wds so that a pull back or forward is available when needed. Worse comes to worse I can take people for a ride on the rope. :D
I will air down from 80 to 35.5 front and 32.7 rear before hitting the trail... Overland Joke
